Hello. My name is Elisabetta.
I was born in Rome, Italy, and I’ve always enjoyed cooking with my grandmother, she lived a long life so plenty of time to learn from her about the traditions and recipes of our lovely country. From there I developed my passion for cooking, that I’ve perfected obtaining a degree in Haute Cuisine from “Le Cordon Bleu.
This, together with my degree cum Laude in Pharmacy, from the University of Rome 'La Sapienza”, has given me the expertise to devise and develop this unique, multi-faceted, and multi-disciplinary series.
I lived in Zurich, working at ETH, and then moved to London to work at the School of Pharmacy on Drug Delivery Systems. In London I taught cookery classes in primary schools for seven years and I’ve always tried to convey positive energy and enthusiasm to the children I have taught, as well as to their teachers and parents. Indeed, parents make me very happy when they tell me about the love for cooking that their grown-up children have developed as a result of my recipes and of the tasty tricks I shared. I have also made them appreciate how chemistry works in the kitchen, for example by making ice cream using an endothermic reaction.
My two lovely sons, Albi and Gilbi, have participated as well and have been for years chief chefs and testers for many of my recipes.
From these experiences and all the enthusiastic feedback that I have received, my books were born. I am pleased to share them with you.
